09:53 pm One good thing about my recently becoming obsessed with Sherlock. I dug out my viola and played for a little while this even. I am woefully out of practice, but at least it staid in tune. I really need new tunning pegs, or a new viola but both are too expensive. However one thing that will help is cutting my nails. Not that my nails are that long, but they are long enough to interfere with my playing. So I think I'll cut them off and plan on trying to play every day or so. Well if T.'s not around. He's been writing a song and tends to be taking up the music room with his guitar playing. And frankly a viola can not drown out an electric guitar.

08:25 am Today is going to be a long day. Have an 8 hour shift and last night I slipped on the ice and fell down landing on my left hip, also know as the hip being pulled out of place by my back problems, or my bad hip. Ugh. Took something for the pain but it's only taken the edge off. Today is going to be a get someone else to do the heavy lifting day.

04:18 pm Note to self: Even if you stay up all night and only get 2 hours of sleep before your boyfriend gets up don't try to take a nap. Your boyfriend will wake you up an hour later wanting to know where is wallet is and you will spend the next hour plus feeling like you're going to vomit and wont be able to focus on anything. Plus your boyfriend will keep harassing you about random shit and you'll have to drive him to the grocery store whillest wishing for death.
Day off of fail. Ugh.

12:40 pm So I finally got my new to me couch. It's big and ugly and pretty dirty. But free. And I did vacuum the heck out of it. After work I'm going to pick up some sheets to use as couch covers and maybe some frebreeze to try and get the musty smell out. And at some point I'll need to either get a whole new mattress for the pull out or a cover because it's even worse stain wise than the rest of the couch. And I found a remote in it when I pulled it out to clean off the mattress.
Have to be at work in less than an hour. Boo hiss. I hope the manager finally comes back to work today. He had three days off, then called out the next two days. At least I have tomorrow off. Which will be spent getting the store moved. My uncle came by today and helped me move some stuff, but he forgot that he was going to move the sign so for a while at least the Mainely Magic sigh is going to be outside the wrong store. Oh well.

09:57 pm So I signed up for netflix yesterday since I can use it on the wii. Yesterday I started watching BBC Sherlock. And today I discovered that netflix has Top Gear...T is never gaining control of it again. Not that I haven't seen every episode 2 or 3 or 4 times. I loves Top Gear.

03:37 pm - Things I have done today... Three loads of laundry.
Called to have internet set up at the apartment.
They'll be by on Friday to hook it up. 4 mbps service. Which should be much better than we've got now. Then the store will be moving on Monday. So I'll need to get the account there closed as we'll just be using the internet from the apartment and switching to Magic Jack for the store where they now have the one you can transfer your number to. And all in all that will be much cheaper than the $80 plus a month we pay for internet and phone at the store right now. And it means if T. takes a tournament somewhere else he can take the jack and the credit card machine with him. And the phone if he wants to get really fancy.
If I was really feeling motivated I get all the paperwork at the store that need to be sorted though. But T. doesn't want me to work about that yet. So I wont so long as he remembers to put all new recited in the folder I set up for it. May just start using folders in the file cabinet for everything. We didn't have a file cabinet at first so right now everything is in expanding file folders. Not sure if it would really make any difference as far as him actually putting things where they belong.
So now I'm just going to numb it and read fic. Maybe go back down to the store and see if he needs help cleaning up. Maybe.

11:59 pm - They're reproducing everywhere... So today I found out my idiot child cousin is pregnant for the third time with the third guy.
And that one of my close friends is pregnant...with a guy she's been dating a month...because he wouldn't use a condom and she wouldn't push the issue. They're thrilled evidently. I am not adding my congratulations on facebook because I don't think it should be congratulated. Maybe that makes me a bad person, but I can't be happy about something I know is a huge mistake.

11:13 am So my hair is long enough I had to trim it because the ends were all dry and yucky. Um...I suspect my hair is now very uneven. I don't really trim so much as get bored and hack my hair off. But it is cold out and my hair keeps my neck and ears warm when its down, and is actually long enough to put in a ponytail if I want to. So I don't really want to hack it off yet. On the other hand it's very boring right now. I just have some hair. And an inch and a half of barely noticeable roots. Ugh. Need a change. Probably going to go back to something asymmetrical soon. And probably re-dye it. Haven't done much of anything like that recently. Have changed hair colors since September, haven't painted my nails since October. My nails are just black at the tips and I keep getting asked why and have to say it's because I haven't bother with them since forever and there is no underlying reason. I keep meaning to re-paint them, but there is alway something better to be doing. Maybe today before work. Or I could just take the returnables back and call it good. Oh and sweep again because T. is incapable of not getting stuff all over my nice clean floors.

11:00 am - Some how this wasn't what I expected for christmas So someone broke into my landlady's business on Christmas day. And I saw the guy. So I got to talk to the police today to tell them what time and what the guy looked like. That was fun. Makes me wish I could draw people better because I can see him clearly in my head, not his face, I didn't see his face but what he was wearing and everything I can still see. I didn't really get colors because it was dusk and I was looking through a sheer green curtain. It sounds like the same person probably broke into 3 other places in downtown. Fun fun. Or not. Current Mood: stressed

11:24 am Ah the Christmas's tradition of listening to Rob Rivers I Am Santa Claus album.
T. gave me a Cuhthulu stuffed animal. It is adorable with big eyes and a heart on its tummy. The cats can't decided if it is cute or scary.
And it's snowing! Go figure the snow held off until Christmas around here. Current Music: Tedd the Red-Nosed Senator - Bob Rivers

12:06 am - Game of Shadows and awesome sauce Just came back from the new Sherlock Holmes movie. Loved it. Everyone should go see it. Was only predictable if you've read all the stories and have good recall of them. So I sort of called the end, well at least the general idea of the end, about 20 min. when I thought about which plot was being followed. And I'm going to be giggling for days over large portions of the movie.
( Things that made me giggle and everything else I loved... )
Okay not so much a review as a squee filled selection of the bits I like more than all the other bites even though I liked them too and don't want them to feel left out. While I know I have some sort of Sherlock related icon on my computer I don't seem to have one uploaded. So in honor of my car coming home from the garage I will use an icon of Jazz.

02:26 pm Going to go see the new Sherlock movie tonight with T. and my normal movie going gang. T's actually getting someone else to run the store tonight so he can go with us. Should be a good time. As long as T understands that Friday night movies are movies to talk at it'll be fine. He sushes me alot more than the movie gang does.

06:55 pm - Today The Good:
Got three loads of laundry done.
Took a shower.
Balanced both mine and the stores check books.
Called the company that the credit card machine is rented from at the store and got a new one sent. And a new pin pad and figured out why the pin pad was having problems.
The Bad:
Found out the pin pad wasn't working because while billing and customer service knew we were suposed to have one tech didn't so the software wasn't loaded on the credit card terminal. So I've been paying for something I couldn't use for almost 2 years.
The sole of one of my favorite shoes half ripped off. Have hopes that gorilla glue and a jar of pennies will take care of the problem.

11:11 pm So far this evening I've completed 3 out of the 5 beaded change purses I'm making for christmas presents. And last night I made 1 of the 5 wallets I'm making. Go me with the progress. However I did make up the basic parts of all the change purses last night and I still need to fuse the plastic for the other 4 wallets, that'll take some time. Putting them together is much quicker than the beading. Current Mood: accomplished

06:46 pm Went over to my grandmothers this evening to get some more furniture for my new place. She's been gone for 2 years and my dad and his brothers are only just now starting to clean stuff out of her house.
I got a bookcase, an arm chair and the secretary desk that at least one other person wanted. Moving fast is the best way to get the furniture everyone else wants too. I also got some pie pans and jewelery. Don't know if I'll ever wear the jewelery but it is nice. Other than the desk my favorite thing I got was a framed Norman Rockwell print. The one shown here. It always made me giggle when I was a kid. Not sure where I'm going to hang it, but I'm going to put it up.
Its been long enough since she died that it wasn't too emotional for me to be there. But I think it was hard on Dad and my Uncle who stopped in while we were there.

09:19 pm Thanksgiving went well. Other than brief scuffle over cribbage rules everyone got a long just fine. One of my cousins might be gay or just a fabulous straight man. All I know is he's a hoot. And he wasn't acting like that last year when I saw him.
Then again I'm the one who showed up with a guy and a girl and cuddled with both. Okay so R. is like a sister but who knows what the family thought.

November 22nd, 2011
10:38 pm So I moved. On Sunday. And unpacked, on Sunday. Then worked two 8 hour days at work and now I feel like I could sleep for a week. The new apartment is lovely and open and sunny. And freaking huge. I have one room that only has a lawn chair, a saucer chair and a cabinet in it because I have no other furniture with which to fill the space. The kitchen/dinning room looks empty to. But my mom and step-dad are bring me a table and chairs after dinner on Thursday. And the landlady has a couch we can have. Will probably put that in the main living room area and move the futon to the mostly empty room. Really need to get at least one more area rug to try and cut down on how much the place echos.
The front of the apartment has floor to ceiling windows that look out at a little park, and a busy intersection, but whatever. Current Mood: content

10:50 am Guess I wont be buying the building I was looking at after all. Needs the foundation redone, that would be about 70 thousand, and that might be with the my uncle knows people savings added in. And frankly I don't have that kind of money. As it is the building would be 80 to 100 thousand to begin with.
Talk to mom tonight and probably next week let my landlord down easy about not buying it. I did mention to her yesterday that I was worried money wise that it wouldn't be feasible at this time. And yeah she wont be down a building, but she will have 1100$ a month coming in from it, it's been empty for like 2 months at this point which has to be a drain on resources.
In other news my mom told me if T. and I break up her and my step-father will forgive me the loan for buying the business. So 8 grand to dump my boyfriend basically. Not that that would be why things ended. It's been a little strained lately at least for my part. He's a great guy but he drives me up the freaking wall. And I have no way of knowing how much money he takes from the store in a give week for whatever. After last weeks freak out about money he took the 70$ off the coffee table rather than letting me put it in the bank. Which you know is not the way to deal with being worried about the amount of money in the stores account. Ugh.

October 29th, 2011
11:27 am So T. and I are moving to an apartment right next to the store by the end of Nov. It is in the building I'm trying to buy, I was worried about getting first months rent and deposit together. However the landlord just came by and told us she wouldn't charge us the deposit because we're planning on buying the building. So that's a sigh of releif. And when we move the store to the building she's going to drop the rent for the store by 50$ so we're not going to be paying more than we are now, especially since electric is included with the rent in that building.
We're hoping to buy the building by the end of Dec. anyway. We'll see may not be until next year, but I do really want to get it.
Also crazy pumpkin halloween icon is a go. Have a pretty sweet halloween costume but the only place I have to wear it is work on Monday. Oh well.

02:12 pm I am considering bangs as a valid hair style change. Need to do something. T. isn't really into me chopping it off. So I'm thinking that bangs might at least mix it up enough that I can deal. I haven't really had bangs since like second grade. I've sort of had them as part of shorter hair cuts, but not with longer hair since a million years ago. We'll see. The itch to change my hair is growing.
